East Bengal FC is pleased to confirm that the club has signed Richard Enrique Celis Sanchez, a forward of the Venezuelan National team, for the remainder of the season. The now 28 year-old adds experience and strength into the squad which is aimed at making amends this current season.
The South American forwards, Richard Enrique Celis Sanchez most recent club being Academia Puerto Cabello has played in a vast number of positions, ranging from center forward to left winger. He has had a career full of variety, playing for a multitude of clubs such as Atletico Venezuela, Deportivo JBL and longtime Venezuelan clubs alongside Colombian Millonarios FC and Senica FK from Slovakia. In world tournaments including Copa America and FIFA World Cup qualifiers, Celis has played for the Venezuelan national team.
Having impressive records under his name and being a focal player in over 250 matches combined in regional and international events and tournaments, Celis is known for his possessive goal scoring. Celis was a key member of the Caracas team that won the Primeira Division in 2019 and during the successful Colombian Copa in 2022 while playing for Millonarios FC.

The said registration will be completed after the required regulations are in place, forward joining is in line with the trend of Indian football teams increasingly hiring South American footballers who tend to be gifted with skills.
