Mr Donald Trump has proposed that the Gulf of Mexico be called as the Gulf of America instead. In light of this, Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum responds, ” Wouldn’t it be better to consider naming North America as Mexican America instead Mr Sheinbaum”. After considering old maps for some time, she responded in a fitting way.
As Mrs Sheinbaum addressed the media, she declared that as far as history goes, the gulf of Mexico has been referred to as ”El Golfo De Mexico” since the year of 1607 She commented further, “Mexican America has a certain appeal to it”, clearly standing up for herself as she responded to Trumps suggestions, American presidents further suggested America could also annex Greenland and take control of the Panama Canal
Mexico Denies Being Involved With the Cartel
President Donald trump has long maintained the narrative that Mexico is ”controlled by the cartel” however Mrs Sheinbaum has opposed to his remarks. She has made it abundantly clear that its the citizens of Mexico who control the economy while also stating that the ruling government runs security operations.
Economic Heads-ups
People are getting worried because Trump is thinking of imposing a 25 percent tax on Mexican imports. Sheinbaum voiced criticism, saying that this will result in hundreds of thousands of workers on both sides becoming jobless. “We cannot afford that kind of a tax,” Shes noted and also said that her group would respond to those taxes if they are imposed in retaliation.
Hopes High for Later Ties
Sheinbaum is confident that, under the new leadership in Washington, she will also be able to overcome these difficulties. She did not deny that Trump has his own way of speaking to people but she said, ‘Look, I think we will be on the same page.”
The way these two heavyweights exchange views seems to say something about the changing moods of the proverbial US – Mexico relationship, as they both begin to sketch what seems to be a vexed bilat toward global matters.
