CM Yogi Influences Followers to Adapt Post the Mahakumbh Scare of Stampede.
Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has requested pilgrims of the Maha Kumbh Mela being hosted in Prayagraj to not panic and not believe in the subjective accounts on the stampede scare that occurred nearby the Sangam Nose.
He recommended that the pilgrims should access the next available Ganga ghats rather than bathe at the Sangam Nose area. “There are many ghats available for bathing. Avoid crowding and follow the directions of the administration. Your cooperation is needed to maintain order and safety,” said CM Yogi.
In a message on the social media platform X, he urged people to bathe in the next available ghat instead of squeezing towards the Sangam Nose: “Everybody is bathing fine at each and every ghat. Stay true to the administration and don’t listen to any subjective information,” he posted.
His appeal came after Prime Minister Modi spoke to him and urged immediate video state assistance. Amit Shah also instructed me saying that the central government would help as much as they could.
Also, Union Health Minister JP Nadda spoke about it with CM Yogi and gave her word that everything will be ready from dispatch of volunteers and health services to ensuring the issue is contained properly.
